As Ugandans are excited about their Brother In Law Diamond Platinumz jetting in today at 11am, Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago is wuuwiiiwuuwiing about KCCA’s extravagant expenditure on the artiste.
While talking on TV, Lukwago was so disturbed with why ED Jennifer Musisi is investing a whooping 1.3bn tax payers’ money on just a carnival. Leaving that aside, he was so bitter with the 150m that was paid to the singer and his band to perform at Tomorrow’s charity concert at kololo and on Sunday’s City Carnival.
“Why would they spend all that when we have our own musicians here…”
Said the Lord Mayor who believes this 150m would have done better without having to be remunerated to a single Tanzanian musician.
KCCA’s charity concert at Kololo is priced at 20k ordinary, 50k VIP and 1.3m a table. All the proceedings from this concert will be directed towards renovating the dilapidated City Council funded schools in Kampala.
