R ‘n’ b songbirds Rema Namakula, Irene Ntale and legendary Juliana Kanyomozi are over the stars after their nomination in the Humanitarian African Prestigious Music Awards set to happen this November.
The three were nominated in the Female artiste of the year Category for their songs Banyabo, Stamina Daddy and still here respectively.
Juliana and Irene re-appear in the battle for Best Video of the year for the above mentioned tunes where they’ll rub shoulders with Eddy Kenzo’s jubilation video.
In the same awards, Kenzo has scooped a double nomination in the Song of the Year for his hit Shauri Yaako and Best Male artists category holding the same fork with the likes of club banging Wizkid, Tekno, Alikiba, Diamond Platinumz and Flavor.
As if it wasn’t over for Kenzo, his Triplets Ghetto kids got nominated in the Best Dance Group awards.
This is a landmark for Ugandan musicians but a reminder for producers and DJs to up their game as none from the pearl of Africa(UG) was nominated.

SHOCK,FEAR AND ANXIETY GRIP DESIRE LUZINDA AS BABY DADDY SURVIVES DEATH.
Desire Luzinda is just recovering from the shock that could have been. Our antennas close to Desire tell us that she almost lost her air when she learnt of the drowning of the boat that claimed over 70 lives on Saturday.Apparently Desire’s baby daddy was on the boat and she quickly ran to social media to express her discomfort and anxiety as seen below.
However by the break of dawn,She had confirmed that he was well and safe and took to Facebook to express her gratitude as shared below.
Information we are gathering is that Desire Luzinda has asked the baby daddy to be extra careful with his life and cut down on his frequent happenings because life may not have a second chance and doesn’t want her daughter Michelle to be fatherless.
BIG EYE REDOES MALWEDHE SONG.
Ugandan musicians will never cease to amuse. As we thought certain tendencies like copy n paste wa dying out,Ibrahim Mayanja aka BigEye in typical Bigeye fashion has redone the MALWEDHE song after the Challenge of this song went viral.
Speaking to our reporter yesterday,BigEye said that after free styling the song as he did the challenge,he felt a fire burning inside him urging him to do a luganda version of the jam and he has indeed come up with it.
The song is titled NFAMU and stings bandminds. He says everytime haters come close he falls down.
BigEye has struggled musically this year and had to cancel his concert earlier scheduled for 7th December at Wankulukuku stadium. We hope this jam will salvage this year for him.
